Who I am ...
For me, teaching is a vocation and a pleasure. I like to understand what you expect from a lesson and to meet your expectations… and always in a good mood!
I have been a German teacher in high school for a long time. I loved building up lessons, creating a climate of confidence to transmit in a positive atmosphere.
I followed and led training courses in pedagogy and didactics, on neuroscience, memorization and motivation.
A 3 years experience in Frankfurt area (Germany) gave me the opportunity to teach FLE (French as a foreign language) to adults. I was teaching in 3 VHS (German adult education centres) and 2 companies, first face-to-face and then online during COVID. I really enjoyed this new activity, rich in beautiful encounters!
This is why, back in France, I decided to continue teaching in this way, both online and face-to-face. Taking over a guest house close to Bergerac (Dordogne) will also create the opportunity to host small groups of adults for intensive French courses including accommodation, courses and cultural activities from spring 2023.
My method ...
I give priority to spoken word. The main target of learners is often to know how to speak, in everyday situations (asking for information, ordering in a restaurant, …) or to be able to take part in more complex conversations, on societal matters for example.
According to your skills and expectations, we will work with or without coursebook. I always try to vary activities, to use short authentic documents (photos, videos, drawings, …) to avoid boredom and thus make assimilation of vocabulary and grammar easier.
My priorities :
to make you feel comfortable when you are speaking and to help you express yourself spontaneously,
to work in a good mood and to make the course a little bubble of pleasure!
